Beagle update...
Posted on 2012-02-13 07:45:43
Update on the stray beagle in our kennel:
His name is Dan and his humans came to pick him up this morning. He was very happy to see them and to leave the kennel, which is very understandable because who would want to be locked up in a kennel for days and not have any freedom to roam? Certainly not me!
The humans got a microchip inserted in Dan, too, before they took him home. This is a very good thing because if he runs again, which I understand beagles have a tendency to do, his humans can be found easily! Yay for Dan!
So, good ending to this chapter in my life at Springboro Veterinary Hospital!

Lost Beagle...
Posted on 2012-02-11 06:50:03
This little guy came into our kennel on Tuesday, February 7. He was wearing an orange collar but no identification. He is young and unneutered and extremely friendly from what the humans tell me. I personally have no use for beagles, they just like to chase me. But the humans seem to like him, they say he is wonderful. He was found in the Harpland neighborhood in Franklin by some nice people. If anyone knows where he belongs, please let us know or tell his humans that he is here in our kennel. Thank you for your help!
As always, I am Moody. :)

Happy New Year!

Hello friends and fans!
I hope everyone had a great New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. I, of course, was alone again, but don't let that bother you in the least. I enjoyed myself immensely.
This last year was a year of many changes for SVH. They got a new front on the building, got a new computer system and all new computers, as well as new uniforms for the humans working here! Makes my head spin thinking of all that change, I don't like change!! But they seem to be happy with all of it, so whatever.
I would like to request a favor. It seems that our laundry is running low on large warm blankets for the kennel. We always take donations of towels, and we always need those, but our biggest need right now for the winter is big, warm blankets. It seems that there are some older dogs that board here and they need those big blankets to lay on so their old aching bones don't ache more from the concrete floor in the kennel. I go back and check on them through the kennel door occassionally and I really don't want them to be uncomfortable. Just don't let anyone know that I really do care about the dogs. They amuse me, what can I say? So if you can donate some big warm blankets that would be very nice of you. I might even pay attention to you when you come in.
On another note, Dr. Beall just got back from Africa today. He said his trip was amazing and so many children of Swaziland now have shoes on their feet along with great big smiles on their faces! What a success! This actually does make me happy, even though I'm not overly fond of children. And that shoe thing, still don't get it. But it seems to me like this is a very good thing. So thank you to all who donated shoes!
Hope this year is a healthy and prosperous year for everyone! Thank you for following my blog. Stop by and visit me sometime, but just please remember, don't touch the tail. I don't like it! Stick to petting my head and I will be fine with you. These days you can pretty much find me on the front desk, it's where I spend most of my time anymore. It's warm there and I don't like to be cold.
Stay safe, happy and warm!
